Garfield Park Conservatory
I went to many culture institutions with my classmates and my teacher at this semester, such as
culture center and the aquarium. Its was interesting because I learn many things from those places
and I also saw many things that I didn't know before. We also went to the Garfield Park last week, I
love this park so much because there three areas that are very important in the conservatory are
beautiful. Those three areas are the showing house, fern house and the desert house in the
conservatory.
Many flowers in the showing house, it also the important areas in the conservatory. It is important
because it shows people many flowers that cannot see in the United States. In the city, it is hard to
see the beautiful and health flower at out side because the air pollution. The showing house is the
place give people to visit the beautiful flower in the city. The air in that house is very fresh and smell
good because the air is the origin flower smell. It doesn't have any chemical component. It was a
important areas in the conservatory.
The fern house have different kind fern, it also a important area in the conservatory. The fern is
a member of a group of roughly 12,000 species of vascular plants that reproduce via spores and have
neither seeds nor flowers. Not too much young children know that kind of plants. The fern room in
the conservatory is home to some of the oldest species of plants on earth. Many plants in the fern
room date to the time of the dinosaur. The oldest plants in the fern room are about 300 years of ages.
It is important because it room's historical value is high.
The desert room is also important in the conservatory. Deserts are the driest places on earth, and
water essential life. Most people are not have chance to know about the ecology and environment in
the desert. The desert have many plants that grow in the desert, and it also mark some information
about the plants. The desert room is important because it give the chance to people to know about the
little life in the desert even though the people don't have chance to go the desert.
In conclusion, the showing house give the people to see how beautiful the flowers are without
the air pollution, the fern room is the a part of the history in Chicago, and the desert room is the
chance is know about the little life in the desert. Those are why those three areas are important in
conservatory. However, the air pollution are becoming terrible day by day, the conservatory is the
place to give people breath.
